Sports for Social Change | Under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan
Yuvaan Half Marathon
A flagship sports movement uniting communities around fitness, youth empowerment, and a drug-free society.
The Yuvaan Half Marathon demonstrates how sports can become a powerful platform for social awareness, youth empowerment, and community participation. Organized under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, it was envisioned as more than a sporting event — a public movement bringing together students, athletes, government departments, security forces, educational institutions, volunteers, and local communities.
Objectives: promote a Drug-Free India; encourage healthy lifestyles; inspire youth leadership; create awareness through sports; promote Uttarakhand as a destination for sports tourism; strengthen collaboration among institutions and communities.
The marathon is designed as a community festival combining sports with education, culture, and public awareness — providing a platform for youth volunteerism, health awareness, cultural promotion, women and youth participation, and local entrepreneurship.
Hashtag Believer Foundation envisions Yuvaan as an annual movement that extends beyond competition to become a platform for youth engagement, sports tourism, public health, environmental awareness, and social responsibility.
When communities run together, they grow together.
