Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

Following the successful Awareness Club Program (2024), the District Administration and Social Welfare Department, District Chamoli, approached Hashtag Believer Foundation to collaborate in implementing the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan 2025 at the district level. Substance abuse continues to be an emerging social challenge, particularly among young people. We believe prevention begins with awareness, education, positive opportunities, community support, and responsible leadership. Objectives: promote awareness about substance abuse; encourage healthy lifestyles; strengthen preventive education; inspire youth to choose sports, education, and skill development as positive alternatives; build collaboration between government and civil society. The campaign combined awareness with action through community outreach, school engagement, expert sessions, youth volunteerism, sports, and public participation. Collaborative partners included District Administration, Social Welfare, Education, Police, Health, Sports, Youth Welfare departments, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Gwaldam, Government Degree College Talwari, Ex-Army Men Organization, Sub-Divisional Administration Tharali, 48+ Gram Panchayats, and community volunteers. This initiative reinforced that sustainable social change is most effective when government institutions, educational organizations, civil society, and local communities work together — For the People, By the People.
